  • Hi Jim, I see you messaged me back in june . I just realized it was here. Smoke signals would be more efficient I think. Lol. I sold my coronet to a guy in England. He paid all the transportation cost. I bought a 28 ft custom race trailer with the funds. Went to Mopar Nat's last weekend to race, might go to the monster Mopar race in Norwalk Ohio next month. Are you getting anywhere with your dart?
The trunk lid is trimmed as a Coronet 440, I have the correct Coronet 500 trunk lid, and ALL of the correct 500 trim parts for the trunk lid. These parts go with the car. I have new gaskets for the windshield and rear window, I was planning to replace glass at sometime. The body could use some minor body work and re painted. It has been painted once before I got it and it was a poor paint job.
There are a lot of things I have done to this car or replaced and it is hard to remember them all. The best option is just take a look at it and ask questions. This car starts and runs great, idles nicely with a subtle cam lope. It never gets hot while cruising and is just fun to drive.

I am in the market for an enclosed car trailer. Preferably a 24'-28', 10K capacity. I would consider trading for one of similar value as the car or a lesser value trailer along with cash, a 4 wheeler, gas golf car, another muscle car or motorcycle. Otherwise, I’m asking $12,500.00 cash.
The bumpers have been re chromed. The door handles, qtr panel “spears”, qtr panel to roof trim have been replaced with reproduction pcs. The grill halves have been cleaned and repainted. New door seals and window felts. The carpet along with monogrammed "Coronet 500" floor mats are recent, all interior is intact with no tears. The headliner needs replaced due to age (smells) but is not torn. This is a bucket seat, floor shift console car with all of this intact and functioning. I added a Ken wood cd/stereo system with Rockford Fosgate speakers.
I have to send in sections, because of the size. The radiator, fuel tank, fuel sender are new, all steering and suspension components have been replaced or rebuilt including the leaf springs, steering gear box and axle bearings. The rear end is an 8 3/4" open differential, stock gears, 2.76 ratio I think. Brakes are manual with the front being disc. The master cylinder is a newer unit from Master power brakes that is designed for manual disc.
    here is the ad Jim

I have for sale my 66 Dodge Coronet 500, 2 Dr HT. This was a 318/727 and is now a 440/727. Original South Carolina car, still has original vehicle certicard. The 440 engine is a 1978 model with approx. 37000 miles. I removed the engine from an RV, replaced timing set with a double roller set, added a "hemi grind" hydraulic cam, Edelbrock performer RPM intake, Edelbrock thunder series 750 carb, electronic ignition, shorty headers, new 2.5" dual exhaust with flow master mufflers. The transmission is basically stock with a mild shift improver kit and a mild TCI torque convertor. The throttle and transmission kick down linkage is a "Lokar" set up. The rims are Summit brand Legend wheels, 15x8 rear, 15x7 front. The tires are Cooper cobra radials, 235/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear and have less than 1000 miles on them.
Hi Jim, sounds like you are getting more done than I am! lol. I have an ad I wrote that details the coronet info. Ill attach it to this message. I need an enclosed trailer for my duster for racing. The coronet is my only "extra" loot sitting around. In the mean time ive been making aluminum bumper brackets for our race cars. duster and dart so far. Here is the ad and a link to pics with a video.

Hi Jim, how are the projects coming along? Im trying to sell or trade my 66 Coronet and have barely touched my Duster. Ive been working on making these aluminum bumper brackets.
    Jim,

I just saw your comment on one of my pictures.. sorry it's taken me awhile to reply. Actually this is the Ford Expedition Red.... I think 2002 or '03 time frame. It's a tri-coat process... base, mid, and then clear. I still might be able to get you the actual numbers if your interested, but this should get you. There are some tips to shotting a tri-coat if you haven't ever shot before... don't paint the mid by sections/panels. Naturally you'll overlap the paint at arms length and will cause vertical stripes... Instead, start at front and spray all the way down the car to the back.. and then back... and then back..
