I have been told that a car will run warmer than 160 with no thermostat at all. Is this true? I was told that the thermostat kept the water in the radiator longer with a thermostat actually cooling the water better than no thermostat at all. Cooling system is new. Radiator, water pump hoses.

It’s a 273 I want car to run as cool as possible. Is a 160 degree thermostat my best option or no thermostat at all?

It is an unmodified original 1965 273 it sat unstated for 34 years. Got started about a year ago. No smoking on original start up. Has only run for less than an hour since then. It has started to smoke White. My suspicion is blown head gasket. I’m I right/wrong. Other possibilities?

Power steering pump leaking Bad! Rebuild is difficult to get. Kits are no problem. Mine is the TRW pump. Suggestions? Thanks.

Replaced all hoses with new ones. Suggestions on how to check vacuum tank for leaks.

It a 1965 barracuda with power brakes. Just replaced the master cylinder. The engine idle drops a lot when I press on the brake. This car has sat for 34 years. I suspect the power booster is leaking vacuum. Suggestion?

My power steering pump is leaking bad . Needs replaced or rebuilt. Availability is a problem. Any suggestions on finding a replacement? Or pros and cons on rebuild kit. Thank! 1965 Barracuda 273. 2 barrel.

Upgrading to dual exhaust rear exit on tail pipes.Looking for low mellow tone. Had flowmasters on a small block Charger one time they were to loud. Looking to keep 2 inch diameter pipes. This engine is pure stock 2 barrel. Thanks for any help.

The voltage gauge reads 14.5 volts at a 1000 rpm idle.

1965 barracuda 273 v8 new alternator, new voltage regulator, new voltage gauge, new battery. Car charges at 14.5 and higher idle. Increases with more throttle . Suggestions?

Recently got my hands on a 273 4 barrel intake. I am in the process of cleaning I have noticed that 2 of the ports are blocked. See pictures. Question: is this intentional or just need cleaned out?
