Re-doing a 71 Dart and considering eliminating the vinyl top. Will all of the existing vinyl top window trim and drip railing work or were there differences?

So, My new Tuff Stuff mini starter # 6084B only has a 9 tooth gear, my original Mopar starter has a 10 tooth gear. Did Tuff Stuff mis-package something? Obviously the tooth engagement is all wrong and it howls like a wounded dog when cranking. Anybody else run into this?

So, I did end up shortening the WP by about .800". I can now use a stock Ford fan without cutting the crap out of it. A long way around, but it's a nice clean professional look IMO.
Hope this helps someone else in the future.

Anybody out there making custom air cleaner pie tins yet? I'm looking to have one made that sez 431 in place of 340, LAx (see the LSx font below) in place of the word FOUR, and EFI in place of the word BARREL.
Thanks 64, a nice and clean look for sure. I love it. I'm in the same boat. Bulkhead connector now has a 90 degree firewall boot for the ECM wire bundle. So, I get the front entry into the frame rail, but still unclear where you exited the frame rail into the cabin.

Looking to hide my front wiring harness by moving it up into the corner of the fender well and run it in the small space behind the shock support. Thinking I should fab up a sheet metal cover for it all. I'm looking for ideas. Anybody else do this? Got any photos?

So, Im not happy with the look of the trimmed fan. Just doesn't look very professional to me for a fairly high quality build. At the end of the day the best plan will be to shorten the WP by 3/4" This has already been done by another board member so it's all figured out. I'm drop shipping a new...
Well, I did a bunch of judicious trimming on the fan and straightened the radiator support some. I was able to knock about 1/4" off of the area in front of the pulley. It now fits and I have about 1/8" clearance to the pulley. I'm going to try to take another 1/8" off to increase that clearance...
Believe it or not I'm actually thinking my path of least resistance and the cleaner look will be to move the motor and trans back 1/2". I don't have a dizzy anymore, it's just a small cam position sensor. Need to check header fit, and need to modify column shifter mount as well as the trans...
FYI Cold Case MOP750A 26" radiator measures 3.16" from rad support mounting flange to the fins/tubes on the pulley side. Contour fan measures 1.69 from rad side to plastic grid between the 2 fans. So, the stack up is 4.85". Hope that helps some else in the future.
