Thank you for the info, I will get a hold of Dan for the carb. I bought my scamp in 2002, from a little old lady, she bought it new in 1975, as soon as I can, I will put a pic of it on this site. It has been running a little rough latey, so I think a rebuilt carb. will fix the trouble. Thanks again for you time, take care!!

Hey Stitch,
To answer you question about the carb, I would recomend either rebuilding your carb if you can or pay someone to do it for you if you don't know how. Unfortunately, the holley and carter carbs that came on slants are not being made new, so some form of rebuild is in your future. Whatever you do, DON'T BUY A REBUILT CARB FROM THE PARTS STORE!!! They are JUNK. Also, another great site to consider is www.slantsix.org they have all the info there you'll ever need and there is many slant six owners and users who know exactly what they're talking about if you have a question. There is a man on this site and the slant six forum who is known as slantsixdan, if you would like to purchase a carb, he should still have his supply that he personally rebuilt to be as good as new. Glad to here that your enjoying your slant car, I know I'll stand by my slant 'till my dying day.
