I have a 1972 Scamp with a vinyl top which I am removing. The car is getting the body done this winter, and I need to know which seals I should be ordering since I will not be keeping the vinyl top and will have a painted roof in the end...

Am I able to bend those myself? Anyway, I had such close luck with a late '80s F150 rad hose, right shape, but it was too wide to fit on, need a narrower section of hose. I thought about cutting up an OEM one but the shape is still wrong. Anyone done this before? I'm kind of at a loss.

Thanks for the quick responses guys! Unfortunately, trimming it is out of the question, the hose is older than I am and developed a nasty leak.

So I got a bigger rad for my 1972 Scamp (225 slant six) to replace my failing original one, from my good friend ifitsgotwheels, and I believe the rad. Now this rad I believe is a small block rad, I know it fit in a '67 Barracuda with a 273. My issue is my lower rad hose is too long now, to fit...

Also, don't buy the RV new, used ones should be a bargain in this economy. I've always liked the idea of having a year off of life and traveling the continent in a westfalia but life is moving too fast for me to even consider. Can't imagine being mobile my whole life though. Best of luck either...

I'd absolutely love to do this myself, but my issue is finding a place to learn, and the other issue is a place to do it. I live in an apartment, and my Dad's garage houses his mustang and things he can't fit in his store, it is not a suitable place to fix a car. I have done amateur body work...

Well, if you're talking about the movie "2012" what happens is a film company attempts to capitalize off the current end of the world scare, and ends up making a crap movie. That's what happened. And will happen. The cycle repeats itself every time the world doesn't end.
