    massive reconfiguration time again.

The $3.00 box of Rit powdered stuff for cloth is the way to go. I usually buy 2 boxes so the mix is extra strong. It even worked to dye a blue plastic motorcycle gas tank. It turned out nice and black after boiling it a couple of times. That required 4 boxes because of the extra water needed.

    massive reconfiguration time again.

Boiling them is the key, just soaking them won't work.

    408 dart sport

From the looks of the pictures he has in-boarded Cal-trac mono leafs, Cal-trac sliders instead of rear shackles and Cal-tracs. I'd be interested to know which height mono leafs he is using.

    360 build thread

I would not run it without the pickup tube being supported. Maybe figuring out a way to safety wire the hold down nut would be a good option.

I recommend reshaping the intake and exhaust guide bosses too. This link has some decent pics. How To A Install Performance Porting Template Kit - Mopar Muscle Magazine

    That chain...

The tensioner is a V-6 only part from the factory. I forget what year the factory started using them and came out with the TSB for the engines that lacked them. Before the TSB came out our rep was allowing us to use a Mopar Performance double roller chain as a warranty replacement item. The...

    New fastest Mopar?

I bought a new SRT-4 ACR and it was fun to drive. With a few mods it had over 300whp/400# of torque and with zero turbo lag. Taking it to Road America was a blast, I could hit the rev limiter at 165mph there and it autocrossed great too. I embarrassed a quite a few muscle cars with it too...

Aftermarket cylinder head debate - who's the best

I'm sure I paid for your quality work, I've had these for a year now and haven't build the engine yet. After buying them I found out I made the wrong choice in where I got them from. They didn't want to do anything about it, that told me all I needed to know. Your price was right their...

Aftermarket cylinder head debate - who's the best

Don't you mean drop the spring seat .015" and use a .010 shim???

Aftermarket cylinder head debate - who's the best

With a higher flowing aftermarket head he could use a smaller cam then needed with stock heads and still meet his goal if not exceed them. I agree that any head will reach his goal with the proper cam to match it however.

Aftermarket cylinder head debate - who's the best

That measurement doesn't bother me, I'll be running it like that. The intake side needs a .020" shim to get the installed height correct. The part that bothers me is the .025" difference in valve stem length. Would you let a head you were selling slide like that or would you have equalized them?

Aftermarket cylinder head debate - who's the best

I found it hard to believe a Mopar machine shop couldn't get that right. I did check the installed valve spring heights and the exhausts are .005" too short without shims. I still need to get the correct shims for the intakes side. I know where I won't be shopping again... Ready to run, yea...
