Looks like you're trying to run a continuous bead.
Running a contunuous bead will not work. Too much head gererated so warping is a problem. What I would do is find a tig welder for rent and practice. If you must use a mig, approach it as a whole bunch af good, solid tack welds...start at one...
I know what you mean...my 64 was 4K as a roller! It's currently getting a 360 and 4 speed for just over 2K so 6K and it still needs an interior and paint. I'll Easily have 15K by christmas and it'll be worth around 14. Lol, I never expect to make a profit, I just love the build process!
Yeah, I hear ya. It's my Wife's favorite car so...I'm building one. I've learned to love it only because she does. Luckily, JD, a member here came up with almost eveything I needed to get this roller on the road. I'll try to remember to post a pic when I get it done.

Hahahaha...GREAT POST. Thanks, I love it! But really, SBC's swap into anything and behave accordingly. Besides, it's all I have. I'd love to put in a small desoto hemi or even a 273 but it's not cost effective. I can't find a 273 and 4 speed for a resonable price. Better to use what I have and...
Hi, I'm from Southern Oregon...my 1st serious build was in 1980 and I havent stopped. Lol probably should have before now but no, I've still got dreams of a 7 second street monster and joining drag week...the Barracuda is for my wife, she's finally figured out that its better to just join the...
