    1970 DUSTER 440 4spd 8 3/4 posi

I did the leaf spring relocating kit on my 65 barracuda and where you have to cut out the rear frame rail is where the rear e-brake cable guides are spot welded to. I used a spot weld cutter and removed the e-brake guides before I cut the frame rails. Sounds like to me that whoever did the...

    Spring relocation kits

I bought the Mancini kit, they are the same as the Mopar one. The kit is very basic, a couple of boxes (which you could actually make yourself) and a rear shacke kit along with a couple of spring perches. I drilled the boxes in three places so I can move the springs up or down one inch from...

Wilwood rear brake kit 7144 fit 15" draglites?

I made a cardboard template that is 14.2" in diameter and it only fits inside my 15X8 Weld draglite with 4.25 BS wheel by about a 1/4 of an inch and from there the wheel tapers narrower towards the mounting hub. As I mentioned before Wilwood also said it won't fit. I have decided to order...

Wilwood rear brake kit 7144 fit 15" draglites?

Thanks Keith Mopar, I also sent an email to Wilwood to see if the Weld draglites will clear and they said no. Hearing from you now it makes me wonder if they will fit? I also have been looking at alternatives. There is SSBC, their kit is expensive $740 and it is a single piston caliper, but...

Wilwood rear brake kit 7144 fit 15" draglites?

I'm about to order the rear brake kit for my 8 3/4 housing from Wilwood but I don't know if it will clear my 15" Weld draglite wheels. Anyone who has this kit if you could let me know it would be great. The part number is 140-7144 and it is the pro series kit with 12.19" rotors and a parking...

    Opinions on purchase?

I say cut out the entire bottom of the car and put a full chassis under it. You can go with a four link on the rear and struts on the front with a rack and pinion. If you can do the welding yourself the cost won't be too bad. A fair amount of work but the car will be much stronger and far...

Rear wheel/tire size on 65 Barracuda

I knew you were going to ask me that. I'll have to measure it. I'll get back to you.

    41 3/8" Narrowed 8 3/4 for 65 barracuda

The spring perches I can move, but I do suspect that the springs must have been moved to the inside of the frame rails because the frame rail center to center measurement is more like 36". I'm more concerned about being able to fit some wheels without having to mini tub the car. I just didn't...

    41 3/8" Narrowed 8 3/4 for 65 barracuda

Is your car mini tubbed? How much backspacing and off-set do you have on your rims? I have the spring relocating kit already to move the springs under the frame rails. I took some measurements yesterday: wheel lip to wheel lip is 68" outside of frame rail to outside of frame rail 38.5"...

    Need spindles for disc brakes

I have a set of small bolt pattern disk brake spindles if you want to stay with the SBP wheels. $150 for the pair. Your original lower control arms will work fine.

    41 3/8" Narrowed 8 3/4 for 65 barracuda

I found an 8 3/4 rear end housing that came out of a 65 barracuda and it is 41 3/8" wide flange to flange with a perch to perch measurement of 31 1/2". This sounds very narrow to me but since it has the leaf spring perches I think it was in a leaf spring car and not a for link or ladder bar...
