These guys do frame connectors and found them on a fabo discussion, i want connectors for my 1970 duster. Can,t seem to get them to answer the phone and when they did i was told they were out of my desired part to call back in a week. Well the week is come and gone and still no answer on the phone, i can leave a message and they still don't return the call. Any headsup would be nice. Are these guys real or what. I don't want to cut my floor pans to install connectors and theirs welded to the contour of the floor without cutting anything. Thanks a bunch. Steve

They are real

I used them on my 'cuda - did have to do a lot of grinding to get them to fit real well and I redesigned how they routed the brake / fuel / parking brake lines.

XV also makes them for a-bodies; so you could check there...

I have these on my 71 Dart, took a little grinding and also had to add some small pieces of metal to get a fit I could live with but the end results well worth the effort. no idea why you can't get through to them, can't remember how I ordered mine good luck

I have talked to these guys thru email and phone. It was 6 months ago. I seem to remember it being fairly difficult to get ahold of someone. I must have called 3 or 4 times on separate days before I got a guy on the phone.. Email worked best and it took a few days to get a reply.. I get the impression they are a small operation and are busy so it takes a while to get thru to them.. Seemed like a friendly operation..

I haven't got mine installed yet but I had no trouble getting thru on the phone and when I couldn't left a message and they got right back the next day.

I ordered mine from them 3 or 4 days ago and they said it would be a two week wait. There on back order.

I used them on my car. Fit very well. But, as stated above make sure you plan for fuel, brake and e-brake routing.

i bought a set for the dart from them at carlisle, they didnt have any for the duster. he told me they would be done the following week and id have them by thursday. i forget if it was supposed to be last week or this week, but they didnt come yet. ill give it a few more days before i call. the guy i bought them from liked to talk. took me a while to get him and the guy chewing his ear off wasnt even buying anything. i had cash in hand. xv copied thier idea and they want 10 bucks more. the guy on here from xv wanted a dart and duster to use for fitment within a few weeks of posting i offered both of my cars he said hed take me up on it and it took him almost a year to get back to me telling me they got a duster but still need a dart.

i sent them an email just to see when i should expect my duster frame connectors, john replied, production is shut down till the end of august. so if you need them like today, you might want to go elsewhere.

and there was already a noticable change in ride and handling. my wife even noticed.

Yes I just got mine at the end of august and I love them I had to massage my floor in a couple spots to get them to fit better But it was changes in productions that I blame for that not their connectors. Took me about 3 hours in the garage to weld them on and being a fabricator by trade they are very impressive.

yeah i was pretty impressed with the finish of them. i wish i had a lift to weld them in though.

I have them on mine and noticed a big difference in ride & handling after they were installed. They're lightweight but strong, and they weren't expensive.
The preparation of the underside of the floor pan was the dirtiest part of the job, cleaning and grinding to make certain there was a good, clean surface for the welds to hold onto.

Cleaned the floor inside and out, used weld thru primer and test fit before welding. Had to grind off a couple high spots and just tap the floor closer to the connectors where needed.

Rbob, that's a nice install...

Everyone else, for cryin out loud, build your own! weld them through the floor...Spend 30 bucks on material, not 200 or so, and having to wait for them....

Not every one wants to cut there floors. I did on my Duster drag car but on my 340 Dart I did not want to cut it up. So I got a set of the UScartools for it.

Ditto. I have zero welding skills, but I do know how to order parts over the Internet, hence the US Car Tools ones I bought.

huh? how you going to put them in? i am a welder it is not an issue for me to make them, i like the uscartool connectors more than box tube poking up through the floor. it was a tuff decision because it is a big difference in price, but he gave me a good deal on 2 sets at carlisle. either way will work but i think the uscartool is the strongest way.

I had my Resto Shop guys put them in for me.
They had the same issues; the US Car Tools ones are a close but not exact match for the floor pan, and they had to be careful to not try to weld too much and warp the pan from the heat. They wound up having to do some grinding to get them to fit, but had a great result when they finished.
