Thanks Ben aka GTXperience  who helped me out with the shipping of a instrument cluster.
I had a cluster redone at Instrument Specialties and after what they said have tried to ship the cluster twice without succes, Ben voluntered to help me out with my situation.
He put down quite a lot of work, finding out how to ship the cluster with out asking for anything in return.
I can´t thank you enough Ben :prayer:

Yep, That's Ben......always willing to help. Thx for sharing swedefish!

Ben's one of the good guys! Always willing to help with anything.

Thanks for the kind words Lenny (and everyone else). Without going into great detail, Lenny used a specific vendor for an instrument cluster restoration and was getting the run around on getting his parts back. It must have been a year plus. After hearing the story, I offered to call the vendor and figure out what the hell was going on. Anyway, I had a feeling Lenny was being placed on the back burner because he lived in Sweden (and because he is such a nice guy). I offered to have the cluster shipped to me so I could inspect it and besides missing a couple of panels that were supposed to be included, it was ok but I wasn't very happy with the vacuum plating. There were areas that weren't chromed and there were little knicks in several places. I kept a photo log of how the box arrived and as I unpacked it and took pics and sent them to Lenny. You can see the cluster at:

On Photobucket, as you load pics, they go towards the back of the folder so you make want to start with the last page. The first two images on page one are the boxes I gathered to ship the parts to Lenny and the parts wrapped in bubble wrap.

I will say this, I will not work with this vendor. Some of their work is definitely not up to par (especially for the money they charge) and their customer service is more than suspect. As Frank Drumond (played by Leslie Neilson) in Police Squad said, "Your lies are like bananas, they come in big yellow bunches."

I heard enough excuses/non-truths from this business that I would never work with them. I do highly suggest gcartrim.com in WA though. They are the only ones I send parts to that need plastic chroming along with instrument cluster or grille restoration.

Sorry for the long rant and Lenny, I am glad you have your parts in your possession now. That was a long drawn out process for you.

Gentle Ben does it again, Its so good to see you help our swedefish out
GTX will always be a top shelf member here 8)8)

Good job Ben. It's amazing the lengths that some members will go to help in any means possible and it truly has changed my outlook on the human race these past 5 years.

How's the ducks Ben?

Strange as ever. The females seemed to be a little confused about their gender these days but it gives the neighbors something to laugh about when they walk by. ;)

Sounds like Maxi. All she wants to do is hump Merlin and Merlin takes it with this very sad look on his face, lol.

One day I'll scan that pic of me and the duck and send it to you. He was really cool and never bit me. :)

Way to go Ben good to hear theres still some good people out there. Dont know if there is a thread or not. if not should start one with the vendors to deal with or not too. so people can get a better idea who to deal with. just an idea.

Great job GTX.

Can't stand crappy, lying vendors that do piss poor work and talk a big game.

I guess they got enough work to treat people like dirt.

Not a long rant Ben, just the truth. I was kind of hoping that you would fill in the details. This is not a company that I would recommend to do a resto or anything else for that matter.
Again, thanks Ben

Yep, That's Ben always willing to help

I just wanted to let all of you know that at our big cruise this past Saturday, James (mopardude318) walked up to me waving a $20 and said this is from Lenny (swedefish). I said no not necessary but James said that Lenny had all ready Paypal'd the money to him and said Lenny wanted to buy me lunch. You are a class act Lenny. Also, thanks to James for being the bearer of good news ... to the tune of $20. ;)
