Hi Gang,

So I have been battling my hood alignment and after a few scratches, dings, and curse words I am at loss on how to get one side down about a 1/4 inch. I have the space between the fenders as close as it will get, and the passenger side lines up very tight. The driver side lines up as good as it will get, but sets high. Besides the two bolts holding the hinge to the hood are there more deep down with the hinge connects to the body? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi seabee, I own a 68 Barracuda with the exact same problem in the exact same area of the hood. My car is in the process of being restored, first I noticed that I installed the hood bumpers on the fenders upside down, corrected it didn't make a difference, second lowered the hood latch a bit more didn't make a difference, third I tried adjusting the two round hood bumpers at the front of the car, nothing. I haven't touched the hinges yet, I'm a bit parnoid it will put the other areas out of wack also.Very frustrating, I hope someone will answer your question and hopefully we both can benefit.

I am in the middle of this now too, although it's the passenger side that sits too high. I started a thread about this awhile back (check my past threads), and was told it was the hood hinge. Installed a different hinge, but haven't had a chance to final line everything up yet to see if that fixes it. I will post info and success (hopefully) when finished.
