I have been tossing around what color to paint. I have always wanted it white with a black hood, but am concerned with it being to plain. Black is all but ruled out. I will be driving to Phoenix in a couple of weeks to meet with the body guy and I will be driving by ab7fh's place, so I am planning on stopping to see his Viper Red Dart. The other day I seen a Lexus that I kind of like the color of. Would like your opinions of it, be honest......

My favorite car color is a bright metallic silver. It shows less dirt, has great reflective properties, and doesn't show signs of fading like darker colors. Just my opinion.

That pretty much opens up all the possibilites lol.. No wonder the decision is so hard. Do you wanna bold and in your face? Or conservative and classy?

Looking for something that stands out, without being a neon color. But keep in mind that I have to travel a couple of miles on a silt/dirt road....on my trip to town yesterday I stopped at a couple of dealers. At the Ford dealer there was a few vehicles that were race red in color, I kind of liked the way it looked and at the Mopar dealer there was a few trucks in electric blue that I liked....and then there is always my original choice, white with a flat black hood. Anybody got an aspirin, this is giving me a headache...

I have always liked an OFF white for a cool ride like your 69 Dart, a couple sticker's and easy to keep clean, The old saying is if you what it right paint it white, and they look sooo good on the track and on the road.

This is not white , but you can see my idea :-D
I took these pictures at Monster Mopar Weekend 2 years ago

x2 what Memike says. I know you are itching for a high-impact color, but you don't need to come across as trying too hard. That's for Chevy guys. Mopar had a classy-looking Cream paint in '67-'69, it won't show the dust yet when it's all cleaned up it will be absolutely stunning. Some black accents will pull it all together. Class beats flash every time IMO.

It's always a tough choice to pick a color on something that is so permanent! I am going through the exact same thing right now. My car is originally red but after having issues with the original color I started going to dealerships looking for nice looking reds. In my opinion most of them are too orange. So after looking at a bunch of red's I finally made my choice of two colors last night ha. Good luck!

OK ink. My favorite color on these Darts is F6 Rallye green. If I had one, I'd paint it that regardless of what color it came in.

I am planning a two tone for my 67 4D am thinking of electric blue with the pearl white up top, but I like the white, and black you are thinking of

I ordered up a batch of FE5, Rallye Red, for the 73. This was the code on the body tag. Initially, I was not pleased with the brightness of the color. However, it has grown on me. My thoughts are that for the "correct" shade for this car, it should look be a bit darker. Unfortunately, the original paint was too far gone to be much help.
