I just aquired a 67 fastback Formula S 383 auto. Its originally from California and has the Cleaner air package on it. The air cleaner is all chrome and is a different than the round unsilenced versions I see on other 383 cars. Is this what makes the difference on this package? or do I have the wrong aircleaner?

Scroll down to here.
1968-69 340, 383 and 440 4-Barrel unsilenced except early 1968 models. Mopar Performance reproduced these in black wrinkle (P4529001) and chrome (P4529002 or P4529025) but factory units were always black wrinkle.

I think its just a repro chrome one. Im not positive though. That site has some good info on air cleaners.

From that websight it looks like a 67 273 4b Clean air package air cleaner. Not sure tho.

Wrong air cleaner, pie pan, and valve covers for the car- sweet car. I remember that one for sale.
Cleaner air package consists of "a modified carburetor, a slightly altered distributor, and modification to combustion chamber design."
Nothing to do with the air cleaner.
