to prove a point, bought my wife a brand new fully loaded 2010 Jeep Liberty, sky roof and all, paid my taxes when purchased, 3 weeks later we get a tax bill for 167.00, what the heck.....i just paid the taxes on this vehicle....
2 separate taxes.... you pay one tax, the Highway Usage Tax, when you purchase the vehicle and the other tax, property tax, is billed after you tag the vehicle.
I can't believe your property tax bill was that low! Last year I was charged almost $400 for my 2008 Jeep Wrangler...
