now we all know if your good old slant six isn't heavely modified it takes some skill and own preference to do a burn out whats everyones tips and tricks for a slant six burnout

I used to power brake my/6 duster, that car would smoke the tires all day long.

60 pounds of air pressure in the right rear tire, Jack up the ignition timing and power brake it if it's an auto. You will see tons of tire smoke.

If you want to cheat, here's what a good friend of mine did in high school, a 100,000 years ago....Pipe your windshield washer to your rear wheels, & while waiting at a stop lite activate the washerpump and then power-brake, great burn-out everytime (easiest & cheapest burn-out ever!)

I like it when I dump the clutch and leave while the other lane spines his or her tires for 1 1/2 to 2 seconds wasting time at the light in an 1/8 mile run :happy10:
Chirp and go  I was tempted to but my factory wheels and tires back on for a cool video 8)
I bet I could take one to the rim with my little 170/ in second gear with a water box =P~

Wait for rain. Or snow- both my slant 6 Darts spun the tires like a sunovabitch in the snow.

Powerbraking works- the throttle on my '73 used to stick sometimes when I was running around town; by the time the light went green the brake pedal would snap up like it'd been fired from a gun and she'd do the old one-wheel peel for 30 feet.

Then of course there's the rollback technique- requires either a manual tranny or the ability to not care if your automatic explodes when you shift it back into D when traveling backwards at 25 mph.

We called them candy cane's back in my youth =P~ It would leave a candy cane stripe on the road

Todays youth calls it the "neutral drop". LOL. Good way to blow an engine or transmission. Lol

Another sign that I'm old, I guess- I've never heard that term.. we just call 'em "rollbacks"- the result of a rollback is a nice "J strip". And I did put in the transmission explosion disclaimer... It's best to practice this maneuver in a vehicle you don't care about, like a GM product that's less than 40 years old.

And yes- since the largest engine I've ever owned is the 300 I6 in my F150 (also the heaviest vehicle I've ever owned), I've gotten quite adept at taking out my aggression while making left turns..
