I just wanted to share a couple of pictures from our local Friday “Cruising Grand”. It was a nice turn out of FABO dudes! I personally had a freaking blast! It was nice to catch up with a few I already knew, and really cool to meet a couple more for the 1st time! Even though his car wasn’t there, member bmxican also showed up to hang too!
I snapped a few of the cars, but didn’t even think to snap a group shot of the guys…next time.
On with the pics…

Louis and Justin; it was cool catching up with you guys again! Hopefully I’ll see you both out there again soon! Beers for sure Justin!

Wade; Small world isn’t it man! We will keep in touch for sure. Sending you a PM after this post.

Rob, and Chris; It was nice to meet you guys in person! Thanks for the advice Rob, and I am sorry I forgot your friends name, but he had some great advice as well.

Hopefully we can represent in bulk on Grand again soon guys. Perhaps grab a few more of the FABO locals?
Rock on! \m/

damn, you were up late huh? LOL
I see you caught me fiddling with the fuses, trying to get some tunes going to blare out that kids rap crap.lol
I had great time, good to see you guys again let alone make the show with all our cars!

Though it was definitely friday the 13th...1st the inlet hose to my fuel pump started pissing out the driveway, then a dirty cable contact wouldn't let start again, then the last minute tuning of the demon carb at wades place, and last but not least....the oil sending fitting I tightened at the show just to find later on the drive home to have a split in it in which it pissed a half a quart of oil all over the pass header, BTW THANX TO LOUIS AND WADE FOR HELPING ME WITH TOOLS AND A NEW COMPRESSION FITTING, YOU GUYS RULE. What a night...but at least it didn't empty the pan or spray the whole engine down thanx to the vacuum line I always slip over those plastic lines.

There were some NICE b bodies there, a few hemis-darts,belv,cornet, lots of challengers, 2 cudas, cool lil valiant wagon w/surf rack, good times!

Lets get more guys out there next time, we'll post the next meet when we're able organized so keep yer ears open!

I had a blast and even after running my car hard for a few members...........I made it 50 miles back home to my destination no problem! Then when I got back in town around 10:15 I did my usual cruise through Temecula and Murrieta. I did a few more VERY HARD runs with the car and no issues at all so far! Runs like a champ!

Hey Wade, sorry about the stains you left in your underwear............haaaaaaaa

Just messin. Very nice to meet up with you all, we should do it again sooner than later for sure!!

Had a great time even though it was a long haul, 125-130 miles one way. We got in at Marks place, 1/2 way to my house around 12:30. I drove home today.

I loved the weird looks we got going down the one side street with all the Chevies. They were like WTF is that stuff, we must have been driving some strange box Novas or something.

Had lots of people taking pics of the cars and enjoying looking at them. Got lots of, "It's great to see some Darts, etc, out and not just B and E bodies."

Justin and Louis are always funny as hell to hang with. Between the iron doorstop comments and other assorted BS, always great.

It was nice to finally meet Wade. I was impressed with his tunnel rammed 340 and the way it fired up. Thanks for the ride back to the truck and the tig lesson. I hate stainless... LOL Look forward to hanging out with Wade again, he needs to put a better rear axle in his car... Like a 3.55-3.73 SG 8.75... hint!

Chris it was good to meet you. Mark and I enjoyed speaking with you. Your car looked very good. Do that clay bar/compound thing and your car will come out looking great. Nice pics of the cars.

Met another Chris, Bmxican, and his girlfrend Lisa IIRC. Good people.

To keep with the Friday the 13th feel of the evening. We all jump in our rides to bolt out and my headlights refused to turn on. The running lights, tails came on, no headlights. I guess the car was pissed at me for finally installing the stereo after 4 years on the shelf.

We'll have to hit it up again before it shuts down in September!

glad you made it though!

Thank you all for sharing a great time
know I have a smile on this morning 8)8)after seeing and reading this thread.

Seeing the palm tree's in the back ground makes me miss my time I spent with folks there in Norwalk and Bell Garden's area :happy10:

Thanks for sharing! Glad yall had a good time. Wish I coulda been there, I'm too far north...

Nice turnout guys. Looks like a nice bunch of Mopars. Thought we might have a pic to put a mug on these guys :)

Next time I will get a picture of the gang. Sounds like we are going to get another gathering together at Grand before the season is over. Hopefully get a few more of the local members to go as well!

ok,so lets not let the summer slip away without doing this again.it was probably the best time ive had being at a car show.its a nice change being around like minded folks that own "drivers"which they work on themselves,no one even told me i was sick for my last second fab work i did before heading to grand.......so when is next time???

Quit trying to weld pot metal and things go quicker. 8) Yeah, it's pretty hip. Some poor old person gave that up your shift handle, for shame! LOL

I hate pics so you can do without me in those things!

I think Mark is going to try and get their Demon running, so he may be in for next time with a car.

Stupid high beam switch was the culprit in my car.

I will be there every Friday until it ends.

Let me know what Friday works for you guys and I will give the family a break that day so "dad can go play with the boys". Bless my wife and kids; they do enjoy the cars to an extent, but I think they go everytime just to humor me. I figure we go off of whatever works best for you "loing haulers" Rob!

I will work on getting both 64physhy and seabee to come out with their Baracuda's as well.

Well crap! I didn't know y'all were here! I was there too with a couple of friends. I saw Rocker'sDuster's Duster but didn't see the rest of ya. disgust We only walked around a little bit and went to O'Sullivan's for some grub.

well rob, since you have the longest haul, when can you make it out next?and count me in for $20 as well.no pressure though bud lol.

Ok guys, here is the schedule for the rest of Cruising Grand:

Grand runs from 5pm-9pm, but people show up way earlier.
  • 20-Aug Axledraggers
  • 27-Aug SD Woodies; Classic T-Birds
  • 3-Sep NC Street Machines
  • 10-Sep Classic Coach Enthusiasts/Fire Truck Night
  • 17-Sep NITRO NIGHT
  • 24-Sep Winners' Circle
Nitro Night and the last Grand are usually very crowded, and unless you get there early, there will be NO parking at all! I agree with Wade in saying let’s base a major gathering around when Rob can make it down.
I definitely think we should gather as many of us together as possible somewhere before and all drive in together…make a major MOPAR impact! I was on the corner when you guys came in and it was RAD seeing a bunch of Mopars rolling in!
No worries Burntorange70 and JohnnyB I (and I'm sure the rest of the guys too) will keep ya in the loop!
