opinion-please read all

Yes,please speak up. The trouble arises when it becomes a big arguement or fight when someone says something abusive and then the original poster takes offence.

As far as prices go it's all subjective. Obviously the owner of the car/parts feels thier price is fair. Anyone paying thier price cant disagree too much either.

That being said, you cant police stupidity and there are some who will pay any price to get what they want simply because they have money. This is where I draw the line because if buyer A payes 3X the going rate for a part, then all the rest of the folks with the same part feel they are justified in getting the same price. This has helped ruin the hobby for many folks who can just barely afford to put together thier hotrod already. There are also many parts "flippers" here who pick up parts on the cheap and then resell them here. I dont have a problem with this as long as the customer is getting fair value.

Not pointing fingers at anyone o.k? But if you can afford to pay more and have, try to keep it on the quiet side so us poorer folks dont suffer the side effects.

Thats exactly what I've been saying for a while now. If some guy comes on here and is new to the hobby and see's that someone is selling an AM radio for $300, then he might think thats the going rate for them. Once he pays for it then the next guy sees that and puts his radio up for $300. Before you know it, $250 is a helluva deal for a broke down AM radio.

There is a guy on my local craigs list selling 73 Duster doors for $600, the hood for $350, the trunk for $325 and the "Duster" emblems for $100 a piece. I emailed him and told him he's listing some of these things for 1000% over what they are actually worth and he basically told me to F*&% off. I just don't like seeing greedy people turn this hobby into something only upper middle class people can afford.
