This Gal and her operation is first class. Look at what she did with a real beat-to-death, torched....twisted and massaged Hurst shifter. I moved this one around with a torch so it fit me good with the pistol grip. Instead of re-chroming, I had our very own Leanna work her magic.

She also called and asked if she could re-contour the finger grips on the handle. Naturally, I told her she can do whatever the Hell pleases. She's THAT good. Look at the handle.

Phoenix Specialty Coatings is the only place worth dealing with. That's why I ship my stuff down to Tenn. from New York. 8)

These are teaser shots Leanna sent me. I can't wait until it get's here so I can bolt it in.....
=P~

Is there anything our Mistress of Metal can't do
Dang John =P~=P~=P~ That shifter handle look's great
She sure is an amazing lady that has brought life back to a few parts for me and she is the only lady that I will touch any of my part's :happy10:

A FIVE *****stare Powder Coating Company for sure =D>

Seriously. If your going to invest in powder coating, go the extra distance and send it to PSC. She really does do awesome work that, in my opinion, off-sets the shipping cost.

Support our Gal.

Definitely a class act, and not afraid to try out something new. We are all very lucky to have Leanna on this site with us...

Don't fondle Leanna's parts, uh er, umm, I mean enjoy your parts Leanna's has powder coated for you!

Nice work Cudachicky. You're the best.Is that alien silver?8)

Yes, it is Alien Silver. It matches some under hood details. The handle is Satin Black with polished lettering.

Looks great in pictures. I can't wait to see it bolted in....

Wow, sign on to make a disappointing announcement about the Young Guns contest and see this. What a day brightener!!

John, thanks for showing it off so soon. I had to wait for the Dollar General to get a truck in today to find a little bigger box to send it back to you in. (You know I like enough bubble wrap to ensure it'll survive World War III :-D.) It'll be going out tomorrow with a couple other FABO jobs.

Actually the grips weren't the part I modified. They fit the fingers okay, but the body of the handle felt a little chunky against the heel of the hand. I just played with the outer radius a bit to make it fit your hand better. Can't be missing a shift if I have anything to say about it. :-D

David, it's funny you'd say that. John already knows why after our phone conversation a couple days ago.

LJ: "John, I'm going to say something to you that I guarantee I've never said to another human being in my entire life."

JA: "What's that?"

LJ: "I took liberties with your Mistress today."

And what's better, Billy wanted me to tell him that he'd gotten to fondle the Mistress when I took her out of the box on arrival. She really got around I tell ya.

John, if you ever remember who the guy was who made it for you, please let me know. It's a nice little work of art and I appreciate the opportunity to customize it to your liking. It's always a pleasure to work with you!

Thanks to all the rest for the great comments. I appreciate it very much. Muahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

For those newbies and those who knew him, John sadly passed away a few months ago. He was indeed a legendary member here.

I learned today his wife Amy is getting the car back on the road!! Reading this little post on Facebook brought tears to my eyes.
"Leanna, he was holding the Mistress handle during his wake. Got A TON of questions about that. To be honest it's 1 of my FAVORITE PARTS :)."

Mine too Amy. I have nothing but great memories of the man, his car, and working with him several times.

Perhaps I get overly attached ... but you guys really are special to me and I am lucky to have your support and confidence. Then, now and beyond our limited time here.

Rest In Peace my friend.

It would be great to see Amy revive the car. John truly was just simply an excellent guy.

I agree whole heartedly.
I watched as he built it from the ground up, I was jealous
of his sixpac.
He played a mean bass to!

My hart is sad to hear this on this day, John was a nice friend and enjoyed his music, wife and home.. RIP my ol friend .. :(
