"Rookie-Touring" '69 Dart

I tried your link to Mascoll designs and got a nasty warning.I saw some of his other work on the protouring site,it's something else! Don't know how to find out more,I have some ideas for paint on my car ,would like to have someone work up some drawings. 8)Just went back to look at his drawings again, your Dart and the other Dart(black) and leaps and bounds nicer than the other cars IMO. One of the big reasons is that all the other cars have flaired wheel wells, the Darts do not.I like that look so much better.Ok finished blabbering.Sorry, just one more thing and I know you thought about it,but the car looks so clean I would have thought you would shave the door handles. Enuff DRENO,shut up!

Dreno, I have a couple email addresses for Shawn; [email protected] and [email protected]. I noticed that about his site too and I'm not sure what happened. Thanks for the comments. When I started working with Shawn it was prompted by a desire to see a wide-body Dart. I was considering a deal on a complete Viper rolling chassis to stuff under the body of my car but would have required about a 2" flare at each corner. Needless to say, the Dart body lines do not lend themselve well to flares and it didn't look right. We tried a few different styles and I just wasn't feeling it. On top of that, the Viper rolling chassis is COSTLY!!! I have also thought about shaving the handles, not yet fully decided but leaning against it. The reason behind not doing it will likely be for emergency entrances or exits. I do plan to track and autox this car when it's finished, and if things get a bit hairy in the turns and I end up in a wall, I have a fear about safety persons not being able to get in the car because there are no handles. Long shot concern, but something that keeps sticking in my head.
