Tig welding 101

Last summer I picked up a Miller Diversion 165, nice small machine capable of AC and DC welding but no SMAW feature, which was fine with me. You can't go wrong with Miller or Lincoln, I believe Esab is getting into TIG also, just stay away from any brand that you don't recognize. Nothing worse than spending big $$ on something that no one will service or can get parts for. Also look at the amp ratings that you will need to run the machine, a large Synchrowave might look cool but takes a lot of juice to run.
