Yo!
I've been wrenchin' on these rusty old mopes for a while now so I now feel like I can talk some crap about them in public with confidence.

Looks like I'm walking yet again though...time for some more wrenchin'

I live in So Cal L.A.

Lately (like the last 7 years), I've been working on a 1970 Dodge Dart GT, yep, '70 GT and it's a factory V8, bucket seat, console Custom with a crap load of options. Too bad it's seriously thrashed or I'd attempt a quasi resto on it. As it is, it's way too much fun to take apart and restore. The thought of not being able to drive it for 2 years while it's apart just doesn't seem cool.

It came with a 318/904 8 3/4 from the L.A. plant I think. Maybe Canada, same difference. It now has a .030" over 1973 360 with big valve J heads and a solid cam. It goes pretty good. At LACR (now sadly gone), it turned a 13.2 at 103 on Dunlop GT Qualifiers (slip-a-fiers more like it) on a 99 degree day. I know it should be faster but I drive mostly on the street and it was my main transport 5 of those 7 years so comfort more than speed. I put about 25,000 miles on it since I put it all together.

In the works:

Sub-frame connectors

Lowering springs or blocks

4 speed conversion (I have a 1962 T-10 out of a Vette, I can make it work, Chevy crap never had it so good)

Roof: fill rust pitting and seal for smoother aerodynamics.

I'm sure I'll be posting some questions about body lumps and bumps. The guy I got it from said it was perfectly straight until the brakes went out on him while he was driving. He said he had to hit every parked car to prevent going into a busy intersection...yep.

Welcome to FABO!
How about some pics of the lumps and bumps?
That air cleaner is pretty restrictive, you would have probably been in the 10's without it. lol
