The easiest way to get to the shop is through the city then into town where it increases to 40mph. On the way home it never fails. Some idiot doing 30 in the 40... and, you guessed it, when it slows down to 30 in the city they slow down to 20... I always have to ask: if you can drive 30 in the 40, why can't you drive 30 in the 30?

Along the same lines we have a 40-->30 reduction right by my house wehre they run radar religiously. I know this, so I slow down. And it never fails taht there's some soccer mom in an Excursion riding 24" off my bumper flashing her brights at me like I'm the asshole. The only thing that lets me keep my cool is that three times now that said asshole has passed me and gotten pulled over for it immediately. All three times I stopped and waved. The looks on their faces? All absolutely priceless.

I get tailgated, honked at, and flicked off in construction zones a lot too b/c I adhere to the 45mph rule. These assholes don't realize that all traffic control is done at night. And that the civil engineers have to come out and pick up concrete samples mid-day on a Sunday. And that fuel and water trucks make their rounds off-hours. They seem to think that i'f it's not Mon-Fri 9-5, the zones must be empty, and how dare the state leave the barrels up if nobody's working, and why should they do any less than 90 mph through the zone. Luckily, I haven't lost any of my friends to these shitburgers, but plenty others have.
