I just traveled from North Carolina to Massachusetts on Sat-Sunday. It was OK until I reached New York. Then it was a nightmare!!!!! people who will not yield for right of way. I am towing a cargo trailer and trying to get into the proper lane on the GW bridge was sheer hell!! Well I will be repeating this process tomorrow when I return to North Carolina. Hope It wont be too bad getting through the big apple during the middle of the day.

I do Pgh-New York all the time and just got back from NC....Virginia drivers have NY drivers beat when it comes to assinine moves, discourteousness and generally just being dickheads. I am in the left lane doing 70 in a 65, about two car lengths behind another guy.....and some jerkwad has to get from his right hand lane spot in thesame position in front of me because somehow, magically I guess, him being behind the guy in front of me will make traffic move faster. So the whole road is bumper to bumper, 70 mph. Nerve-racking and unsafe.....but if you slow down its even worse.

This wasnt just once, but constantly.....Once I stop seeing VA plates, all relaxes again.

New York drivers are angels compared to VA drivers. Although driving in Manhattan takes a certain amount of "oh well, here goes" attitude...LL
