1970 Challenger commercial

Yeah, I remember those commercials too. My wife was working at a dodge dealership at that time.
The dealership took in as a trade- in, a 68 road runner that was high miles, but otherwise solid, one of the very early versions, a no frills 4 speed.
They put $650 in it,and she bought it for that for my birthday. I had a slightly modified 383 engine from a runner that I was running in a 59 Plymouth Savoy on the strip and transfered it to the 68. Had a ball with that car, retired it from the strip in 73 when they changed the rules for stockers and changed to street gears and drove it for a few years.
Wish I had it now, I have owned several muscle cars, including a new 67 GTX and a very nice 67 hemi GTX 4 speed in 78, but the little runner was always my favorite.
She had a new 70 Swinger at that time and let me trade it for a 69 300 to tow my race car with. At least I still have her!
