1971 Dodge Dart Swinger BIG BLOCK 4-Speed
You are looking at one of the finest examples of a big block Dart in the country. This 1971 Dodge Dart was located inside an elderly women’s garage in 2007. The time capsule was completely rust free and sported 38,000 miles. The car was taken to the restoration shop where it was completely stripped to bare metal and placed on a rotisserie. It was painted lime green and a new vinyl top was installed. The bumpers were rechromed, the front end was rebuilt, it was fitted with heavy duty springs, drag shocks and disc brakes were installed for maximum stopping power. The rear end was replaced with a completely rebuilt 8 ¾ rear with 355 gears.
Now it was time for the drive line. We wanted big power with street reliability. A 1969 440 Block was used for the professional assembly. The short block consists of a standard crank with eagle rods and diamond pistons with a compression of 10-1. We carefully selected a custom solid camshaft with roller rockers. The heads are close chamber 915 castings with big valves and a race port job. The car breathes through a custom 3” exhaust with turbo mufflers. Lastly, of course we had to install a 4-Speed. A rebuilt Mopar A-833 Manual transmission was fitted in the A-Body. Talk about a scary ride… 11.60 with the street tires spinning all the way down the track.
This vehicle is mechanically sound and can be driven anywhere. All the gauges and lights work as they should. The Dart has big power yet superior street reliability with no disappointments. Everything on the car is new and there is too much to list. If you have been looking for a big block Dart you will not find one nicer. I have collected mopars for many years and promise you this car is set up perfectly. I am available to show this vehicle with ample notice. Please call to schedule an appointment. $24500 pm for phone number http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/announcement.php?f=41&a=6

That's quite a build sheet ya got there but where is the car located and you used the word "we" a few times. Who is we? Also have you got a clear title for this car.

Could you post another shot of the side of the car straight on... something looks odd with the rear fender wheel openings - want to make sure it is not an angle thing... thx

$24K i think i would at least want the wiring taped up nicely and the heat hooked up..

are you a dealer like the texas toy box and black tie??

No Im not a dealer. Im a collector. The heater core was replaced and I decided not to drill into my new billet water pump. It would take an afternoon to hook up if I wanted. So you dont think this car costs 30k plus to build??? Lets look at your engine compartment:

... hell that page hasn't been updated in 4 -5 years..... that was right after i bought the car back. it had been sitting under pine trees for a few years and the compartment was a mess.

i never said that car didn't cost 30k to build ( although i really doubt it). just said for 24k ( especially in this economy) i would expect certain things to be done a little nicer. wires taped into a harness, plug wires run like a blind man installed them, that flex hose as the upper rad hose. all big red flags when i'm looking.. i figure if a seller couldn't take the short amount of time to do those few simple things then what other more important things had short cuts taken while doing them.... just saying..

.

Wow now your name calling. Not sure why you felt the need to start bashing my car today. Perhaps you just have too much time on your hands. I would put this car up against yours any day of the week.
