I pulled the upper a arm eccentric bolts on my v8 64 barracuda. I found one had a groove worn in it. I need to replace it.

Are these bolts specific to v8 cars, early a bodies, or can I go to the junk yard and get one from any year a body regardless if v8 or /6?

Thanks.

I think these are everywhere as the bushing itself is a long production run.

Great news. Thanks for the quick reply!

K8243A is the cam kit # from Moog. Should be available at many parts suppliers.

I did not think the cam bolt was still being made. Thank you for thr part number. I will check on the price of a new one.

if you don't find any-- I have some good used ones , Lawrence

vdart,

Thanks for the offer. I will check for availablity at the local NAPA store this week. If no luck, I will shoot you a PM.

I've plenty of used ones too if you happen to be in the area.........

Rats. NAPA did not have anything back to 1964. I bought one for a 1967 A body. The bolt is about 1/2 inch too long and the bolt shank is flattened across the entire length of the bolt. The factory bolt is not like this.

I had no luck at the local pick n pull for a used one.

cudamark, I will send you a PM.

Checker/Orielly auto Part Number: 15278 is cam bolt and bushing kit. I bought just the bolts and cams about 2 months ago, so i know they are available.

Moog Cam Bolt Kit
Part No. K8243A

Cap Auto Products offers grade 8 bolts and hardened eccentric cams, better than factory and certainly better than the "made in china knock off's!"

The Mopar cam bolts are all the same back to at least 64. Yes, the aftermarket cams are a bit longer and look a little different, but will work fine.
