Is this worth the buy?

Are the 413's poop or what? Thought maybe the trans or rear was worth a crap too...

I don't know what your scrap price down there but I know up here you could pull the engine and trans and take the rest to the scrap yard and still come out ahead $$$$ wise.

A lot of scrapyards won't take RV's 'cause what isn't iron or aluminum is wood and lots of other crap that isn't recycleable without a lot of labor.

I guess it'd depend on your free time, whether you can chop up the body, and whether your ??landfill?? will take that kind of waste for free. If you laboriously strip off the outer sheet metal, might be aluminum, donoo. At my age, living in town, it's a nope

The generator is worth 200.00

I was going to say the same thing, the 413 is questionable but that Onan is worth it. Hell a little sweat to get her purring and you could run your house in the next power outage. I'm guessing its a 120 volt with a 12 volt converter.

As far as I can tell, the 413 is a Hemi that preceded the 426.?,. I wonder what part availability is for a 413, maybe same as the 426?

The 413 in it is a weird version of the wedge big block. The short block is probably worth $50 and the 727 has a long tailshaft with a drum brake on the end of it, the good news with that is that it has a four gear planetary. The trans will take some mods to work in a car. The rear is scrap for sure. Not much other than some trans parts and a short block 413.

the 413 was a wedgehead engine. the 413 Max Wedge was the high performance one. It maybe worth it, but your gonna need new heads and a new cam and intake to get some decent power out of it. I have no clue what else it would take, but it'll take alot o money probably

turbodart beat me to it. there was no 413 hemi

Well if it's not an odd ball Hemi then it's prob not worth the trouble. I did read more and found out it's soul purpose is right where it's at, a motrohome... Low end torque, high coolant volume towing beast, prob not worth the sweat...

I would buy it too if it wasn't so far to tow. The car hauler is neat.

I turned down a running 413 for $50 once then the guy tried to give it to me and I still turned it down. The generator would be nice but for a few hundred more you could get a newer one, I'm going with nope.

Depends on how much the tow bill would be... Would be good to gut for parts storage if you have room for it.. Scrap yards don't like RV's and school buses, to much work cleaning them out and cutting them up..
