You cannot remove them... they get VOID all over them if you try.
There is a company that makes repros of them.
What I did on mine was took a high res pic of it then cut the steel around it to keep with the car.

When I get the money for the repro I can then send them the pic to make sure I get the correct replacement as there are several different ones depending on where and when your car was built.
