I have 2 identical 1954 dodge coronet convertibles. I am in the process of restoring them. Would love to have information on where i can source parts from. one car is in great running condition, the other, on its way. will post pics soon. ken

Welcome aboard. Restoring two when one will be hard enough to find parts for takes a brave individual. I thought I had it bad trying to find parts for two 67 Coronets and three 68 Barracudas. Best wishes for finding parts for two 54 Coronets. But, I'm a little confused. Everywhere I've looked I see that the sole Dodge convertible made for the 53 model year was the Coronet. In 54 there were two convertibles, the Royal and the Royal 500. The 500 was an Indy pace car trim package on the Royal. But I don't see any reference to a 54 Coronet convertible. In Canada in 54 there was a Dodge Mayfair convertible which had the 54 Dodge front clip on a 54 Plymouth body (from the cowl back). Since you are in India, these must be export models and may have some differences from the 54 Dodge convertibles sold in the US and Canada. In the US there were 54 Coronet sedans but not convertibles.
Do you have any photos you could post?
Meanwhile, you might also stop by the Dodge Coronet Registry, where there are several members who own early 50's Dodges. I think theres a Forward Look forum for 50's Mopar owners as well.

As for parts sources, its a little late for Fall Hershey and the Chrysler show at Carlisle, but those are the two swap meets you would have the best luck at for 50's Mopar parts. Otherwise, on the west coast, salvage yards like Wildcat Auto Wrecking in Oregon, Memory Lane in Long Beach California, Pearsonville Auto Salvage in Pearsonville, California, County Line Auto Parts and Speedway Auto Salvage, both in Ridgecrest, California, and Desert Valley Auto Parts in Arizona are good places to start. To the east, rust will be a problem on parts cars, but there are yards that specialize in Mopars, such as Stephens Performance in Misouri, I think, and B&B Auto Salvage (a small yard in Maryland). There are also yards that have an abundance of 50's cars still lying around like Leons Auto Parts in Leon, Virginia (100 acres of 50's, 60's and 70's cars).
One final salvage yard with lots of vintage cars is one that I've never used but I've heard lots of good things about. Its Neal Freman in Whitehall, Montana. Neals # at the yard iz 406-287-5436.
Steele Rubber Parts might have some reproduction weatherstripping for a 54 and Auto Body Specialties might still make some small sheet metal patch panels if you're lucky. Theres a company in Oregon whose name escapes me that might have original NOS upholstery material available.
And as others have said, Hemmings Motor News is always a good place to find parts.
