Your First Car

mine was a toyota corolla 3tc engine, 5 speed. quick little car for a 4 banger. <-------then i got that 72 scamp. got it from an old lady who had 2 of them same year, color, and options. used one for in town and the other for highway. don't know which one i got but, it had 36k miles. gave her a whopping $300 for it. drove that thing for 2 years before i started drag racing. after i gave up on that it sat for the last 15 years. now my kids are fighting over who gets it.
my daughter can say her first was a 71 scamp. and i guess my son will end up with the 72.
 
my first car was a 73 challenger 318 i payed $700 for it and have had 3 other challengers a 73 slant6 duster 88 daytona 89 shadow and now 72 340 demon
i love my mopars!!
 
My 1st car was a 1979 Nova. Plenty of rust and primer. My 1st Mopar was a 1977 Volare, 318 4 speed bucket seat car. I still miss that Plymouth !
 
In the fall of '78, I convinced my Mom to help me buy a 1970 Road Runner. It was a one owner car located about a mile from our house. I drove by as the guy was taping the sign up in the quarter glass. Within about an hour my 16 year old *** was cruising this sweet RR with a 383, column auto, two tone blue interior with functioning a/c. My parents had no idea what it was since nobody else in my family was into cars. That helped me sneek that one under the radar.
 
My first car was a POS '91 ford escort:angry7:, I had in high school, my parents were not keen on older cars - drove it till the transmission went out. Then I had an '83 Datsun 280zx - for a month, when anything and everything thing in that foreign crap went bad, after which I had an 84 toyota camry. That was a good car, but ive always wanted a Valiant. Finally, about 6 months ago I bought a '70 valiant from a junkyard for $600. Rebuilt the 225 /6 and has been a great runnin car. I saw a Valiant in a movie when I was 4 or 5 and liked them ever since.

My first car was a 1963 Valiant Signet 2DR HT. Sandstone beige paint with a red and beige interior. Bucket seats with a 225 cu /6. Got in spring of '67 and traded it in for my new '68 Barracuda which I still have.

bought a 72 vega when i was 14 from e-town jersey for 600. When i was ready to drive at 16 had a decent sbc chevy with a 4 speed... still have it today. im 22 heres the pics
was completly stock.. everything you see i did

My first was an '80 Olds Cutlass Brougham. It was owned by an old couple and was like new with only 35,000 miles (8 years old). I drove that for about a year, then sold it for what I paid and bought a '72 el Camino. I loved that car. I didn't get into Mopars until the 90's. First Mopar was an '88 Dakota, then I got my Barracuda a few years later.
 
My first car was a 71 Duster with a 318 and automatic..I was 16 and thought i had hit the jackpot.Paid 600.00 for it,needed some qtr. work. I put a set of Blackjack headers on ,$39.99 back then, and a set of bolt on glass packs and i was COOOL...so i thought..hehe. Moved on to a 70 charger and a 70 Dart..Now,,30 years later im sitting on a 72 Dart thats in pieces and is a work in slooow progress..
 
well my old man has a 68 dodge monaco that seince he had it was always said to be mine but unfortunatly the first car i bought with my own money was a 87 monte carlo ss clone 396 big block and a four speed ....... ofcourse it started out as a normal grand luxary with a 305 HO automatic.....
i liked that car and regret selling it even tho it was a chevy and i dont even have a pic of the car i guess i spent so much money on the car i never had a dime to buy a camera lol
 
First car was a 66 Mustang with a Pony interior. First mopar was when I was 19 or so, loaned someone some money and held the car as collateral. Do not remember the year, but it was an a-body Cuda. I learned how to drive in a 72 Datsun pickup when I was 7. First time I drove on the street I was 9 or so. My Dad had a Gutter business and would get tired of driving around while giving estimates and he would often let me drive. Never got caught by the cops, but my Mother busted us once when I was 10 or so, we rolled up to a traffic light right next to her....
 
My first car was a 1972 dodge charger rallye 440., paid $1000 for it and hauled it home. Original motor and trans were long gone, I had all the body work done and in primer when I was contacted by a guy in Texas that bought it for $6,000 roller. Miss it very much! Here is an old pic i found.

My first car is my 70 Dart in my signature below. Dad's stories of his old mopars got me into them originally. We are a mopar family. We have Dad's Dakota, my brother's Dakota, Dad's b-250, my sister's Gran-Voyager (V6, not the 4 banger) and then my car. Of course, there's also dad's car, it may be a F0r%, but I grew up with it.
 
My first Mopar was a black 94 Dodge Ram 1500 regular cab back in 97. I dreamed about and wanted one of those trucks since the first day I saw the new commercial, when that work truck got split in half revealing the new model! I was 15 and got it early because we got a hell of a deal. I loved that truck and would dang near do anything to get it back. Lot of memories with that black beauty!
 
My first car was a 71' barracuda when I was 14 and my second car was my 70 R/T Charger ( pistol-grip 440 ) .

Still have both of em'....here is a picture of my first motor swap at sixteen years old.

Damn... them Big blocks are "HEAVY" !!!!

I used to be able to pull em' out with one hand !!!

I'll probably use a cherry picker on the next one now that I'm a little older ?

Hmmmm My first one was a 1999 dodge durango, then my dad got me a 69 dart in yellow with a 440 in it.......HAHAHAHA I got pulled over for speeding and the cop told me I had a nice car and walked away. Then I got hit by a druck driver and totaled it. Was a sad day indeed. That was the only car my dad bought me eh oh well
 
first car I owned is a 67 GTS Dart 383 727. Still own but now has a Matt Hensley built 499 stroker with PTC built 727. Shown in avatar on the right with my decoy 67 GT on left with 225 904 for now. Building smallblock for over the winter upgrade.
 
I still have my first car, yes it is a mopar, the orange '67 Barracuda (my avatar photo) I bought it in 1980 for $500.00, I was 15 years old!
