I will never again buy a trans from a "big outfit". Had some similar experiences years ago with a TCI. So, I learned to do them myself. If you don't want to do that, then my advice is find a small local shop that's been in business a while and let them build you one or fix yours. It's always better to deal with warranty issues face to face if you have to.
