Why no header? For any performance gain, you're kinda cuttin your throat there. Also....and this is just my unedjeekated slant 6 opinion here, I would think you'd be better off stickin with the four barrel, and twistin it around sideways like you've been talkin about. That way, one primary barrel's mixture doesn't have to "run over" the other on it's way through the intake manifold. In my mind, that seems like a lot of turbulance there. I may be way off base there, but seems like it would work better sideways. That Cain intake does not appear to allow a sideways mount carb. And yes, I say do the 225. But with a header. What are you afraid of with a larger more radical cam? You certainly have the induction choices for it. That little car is light enough, you won't really have to worry about overcammin it unless you just get slap wild. All that's my two cents....but it might not even be worth that. .....and upgrade to a dual port master cylinder. You're scarin me.
