My '67 Valiant 100 Big Block 4 Speed Restoration

Got my 413:cheers: at the Carlisle everything swap meet. This was about 1 of 5 or 6 mopar things I saw at that show:angry7: To much chevy & ford stuff. So heres how it went: I'm walking down the isle at about 11:00. Look over to the next isle and I see this on a trailer. I thought it was a 440 so I ran over cause its like impossible to find anything Mopar related. So low and behold I get there and it turns out its a 413 out of a '65 Imperial. It still had the auto trans behind it. He wanted $600 and he knew I wanted it bad. (This guy is actually a ford guy that happened to have a job that takes down barns and this Imperial was in one of them. He bought it and sold the body but keep the engine/trans). So anyway my father and I walk around some more till its getting close to the end of the day. I was real curious if he still had it so I went back. Low and behold he did & he wanted to get rid of it real bad because he need the room on his trailer for a car he bought. So he offers it for $400. I was joking around and offered him $200 with out the trans (because it was one of those cable shift with the flanged end, not the slip yoke and I don't need the hassel with that & besides I'm going 4 speed:burnout:) and he took it:cheers: It took some time to convince my father to buy it (he paid $100 & I paid $100) but I successfully perswed him. So we go get the car and when we came back he had it separated already. $15 as tip to one of the employees and we got it load in the van. He even threw in tie down straps so we could make the 4 hour trip home. Any ways we leave and I'm driving8) and 4 hours latter we make it back:cheers: So theres the story of how I got my 413.
