Yep, that is correct..1972 Edgewater Dragstrip in Cincinnati.
Guy on Suzuki 400 thumper was standing in the pits waiting for track to start practice, saying he would run anybody for $20. I said I would run him.
He asked what I was driving (thinking I was running a car),but when I pointed to the bike, he got real pale and came up with 1000 excuses.
He said he could not run the 1/4 mile so I told him we would just compare 1/8th mile times for $50. Since all his buddies were there he could not back down.
A perfect launch and this picture was taken just before the 60ft lights as I was passing him! Before I ran him, I changed my front sprocket from 15 teeth to 13. Sorta like going from 3.23 to 4.33. I laughed all the way home.
