Is there a preferred method for cleaning exhaust manifolds and intake manifolds? Rust on the outside, carbon build up on the inside.

Hot tank or sand blasting.
Bead/ sand blasting is the only way to go. I use Eastwoods high temp exhaust manifold paint, pick your color. Will cure when engine fires. No paint, it will rust.
