Well, a motor & midplate set-up will eliminate ANY torque-over but some feel the engine vibration is too much for a street car, I disagree. With the motorplate between the block & water pump you have to adjust for pulley alignment unless you use an electric waterpump. The thing I really like is the engine is independent of the K-member/front suspension so you could yank the K-member out if you have to & not worry about the engine. The motor plate will allow you to eliminate the engine mounts on the K-member & allow you to trim up the steering box mount & reinforce it so as to allow you more room for headers.
If you go to the "racer's Forum" section & look up the thread about deleting heater boxes, you'll see "Inkjunkie's" car in there---mine is done the same way and you'll get an idea of just how I did it & how much room you can gain......
