Let me back pedal on that a bit, it depends what you want to do with it.

I agree that restoring it to stock is worthwhile, and if you want something that you enjoy taking to shows then stock is the best way to go.

If you want to drive it and enjoy it, then it needs some updating. Just don't hack it up to do it.
