If you unplugged the line that originally went to the charcoal cannister it might work as a vent. Seems like the easiest solution if the line is still on the car. You might put a plastic vent cover on it like is used on transmission, axle & transfer case vents on 4wd vehicles.

I've ordered a couple of Fram fuel filters with the return hose on it and I spoke to a friend and he said the same thing about the charcoal cannister line. Use the rubber house that was on the charcoal cannister and just leave it in the engine bay pointing up and it will vent fine... I'll give this a go in the next couple of days and see how it works out..
