looking to move south?

We moved here to the Clayton area 3 years ago from Massachusetts and I can honestly say it was the best thing that could have happened to us. After losing my house to foreclosure due to my surgeries in 04' there was not much to look forward to. Barely had any work when I left. So to NC we came and as soon as I arrived, I had a job the first day I was here. And a house the first week. Wife had a job in about 3 weeks after arriving. Even though 18 months later we lost everything except the Duster in the house fire, I can honestly say my family and myself were overwhelmed at the kindness and generosity we received from total strangers, some of them now my best friends. As for employment it really is what you make of it. I lost my job after being here 2 1/2 yrs and used a measly $800.00 investment in my van ( I already had my tools) and was able to start my own appliance installation/repair business. I now have a contract with Sears for installations and it is going very well. All in all I agree that it can be hard and there is always a lot of uncertainty about relocating but if you keep praying and have faith and stay the course, Anything is possible!!!

glad to hear it all worked out for you and your family,, you know as well as i do,,you would of NEVER got that kind of help from your neighbors here in the mid atlantic region,, but ive heard horror stories of people in NC not wanting north easterners living in there area permenitly,, glad it worked out for you,, not to sure what part of NC you are in,,
