Does anyone have any after market alum. valve covers or intake for a 73 la 360 they could sell a young gun cheap ? its my first build and im on a very strict budget. Don't need to be beautiful just functional. i have a 74 duster parts car with some parts on it i may be able to trade kick panels, back seat, full vinyl top chrome.

What is the target goal of the engine's power level?

I got some cheapy chrome valve covers i would almost give you.ALMOST! Ya know chrome makes it go faster. lol!

I have some new chrome valve covers, a used Edelbrock air gap intake and a used but in excellent shape, Comp CamsHigh Energy grind CRS-268H-10 camshaft. If you can use any of this let me know.

Indie, the reason I ask is to find out what you wanna do, what you want to purchase, what is OK and not. I have a bunch of stuff collecting dust, but if your not gonna help us help you with what you want and what is OK, then, you'll just be bumping the thread away with no results.

rumblefish, i explained it to the best of my ability. I have no mechanical experience and this is my first build. I want a light weight alum 4 barrel intake and alum valve covers and a cam that gives me a choppy idle. The car will only be run on the street. Next time i will post a thread asking for some advice on what i need before posting a want add.

Roger that! Do you know your gear ratio?
Is swaping out the converter OK?

I am stuck using the stock /6 rear for now. not sure of the gears or what the converter swap does. I just found out that my oil pan is a truck oil pan and is not usable in a car :angry7:. I think i need to be askin for a retards guide to mopars.

The MoPars engines book and a how to rebuild/how to hot rod your S/B MoPar engine are excellent places to start. Stick around and ask questions.

For your 360, intake wise, look for a dual plane intake. Performance wise going up the ladder, it would look like;

OE stock 4bbl Square or spreadbore design
Edelbrock LD-340/Weiand Action plus
Edelbrock RPM/Weiand stealth
Edelbrock Air-Gap
