Anybody ever heard of or done any business with these guys? I was just searching for a water pump & came across them. They have a few pumps listed for small blocks & I was wondering if anyone had ever used their stuff. Their prices were reasonable.

I sent a note to their tech dept asking for some specific info on their pumps to fit 69 & earlier smalblocks. According to them, the performance pumps...

Reduce cruising temps up 40 degrees

Have 2 times more pressure

Have 41% more flow

Are Up to 5 times stronger

Use new OEM quality castings, precision bearings and ceramic seals

Have a Lifetime Guarantee

It's probably typical hype but I'm interested to see what they say if they respond. They had a high performance pump to fit the early smallblock configuration (with the inlet on the left) for under $70 & the only comparable pump I know of is the Flowkooler 1701 & it's over $100 from Summit.

I heard back from these guys. They list 4 pumps in the early smallblock configuration, 2 part numbers & then the same 2 part numbers, each followed by the letter P. I asked what the differences were in the pumps. They said they didn't keep stock of one of the part numbers so they couldn't tell me what the difference was between it & the other. They said that the "P" pumps have a.... "closed back impeller installed with tighter tolerances.....020" clearance vs. .100 to .050 for the standard pump." This sounds a lot like what Flowkooler does with their pumps.

I haven't checked shipping prices but this seems like it could be a decent alternative to the Flowkooler pump for people with the early cars that want to stay with the left side inlet.

If you have a deficient water pump to start with -- maybe.

Have 2 times more pressure

Bullcrap. The water pump does not generate pressure in the cooling system. It is a circulator pump.

Have 41% more flow

Maybe.

Are Up to 5 times stronger

Because we're known for OE water pumps breaking 'cause they're not strong enough?

Like I said, it's probably typical hype. But I like the idea of the plate on back of the impeller and the closer tolerances can only help things. Years ago I had trouble keeping my high strung 273 cool. I know a lot more than I used to about how to make the cooling system work more efficiently, but I'm going to be running a 408 so I plan to use a good pump from the get-go.

My Evans water pump comes with a 3/4 shaft on a rollerbearing and has a solid back which helps reduce caviation. Jayson

Here is there web site. http://www.evanscooling.com/
I purchased my water pump years ago from them. A bit pricey but it has given me years of service. They had a techline back then you could call for hot rod applications and the guy gave me a wealth of info with the problem I was having at the time with a 340 running hot. He never once tried to sell me something to fix my problem. Very honest. Jayson
Here's is a catalog.

Never heard of this brand. Can you give any more info?

I had to give up on the catalog link. Every time I tried it my Internet Explored program locked up & I had to open the task manager to shut it down. Probably happened about 8 times. Maybe tomorrow? :dontknow:

yeah, Internet Exploder doesn't like Acrobat files.

Usually don't have a problem with acrobat files but certainly had a problem with that site tonight. Will give it a try again tomorrow. Sometimes the weather causes my ISP some problems & we've certainly had some weather here in the last few days.

This is how I have purchased every water pump I have ever used.

I walk into NAPA.

I tell the counter guy…… "I need a water pump for xxxx car, xxxx year.

This strategy has worked for 25+ years.
