We made a major FUPA on my 273 and forgot to drill out the crank for the pilot bearing. Since it's all together now does anyone have the NAPA part number or another source for the proper pilot bearing? I was told on another site you can use a PD from a Dodge Dakota?

Thanks

The roller type bearing fits into the spot where the torque convertor hub fits. It should work for you. Since your crank isn't drilled, you will probably have a problem with the input shaft of the trans hitting the crank. You will have to shorten the shaft with a cutoff wheel. It only needs to be long enough to go through the roller bearing completely.

i have used the napa undersized pilot bearings in auto cranks without a problem. all the cranks should be drilled but not reamed(just the manuals were) or so i thought. the napa # is 615-1033(undersized pilot bushing)or like fb340 and don said you can use the magnum roller style as well.

All the small blocks were reamed. The big blocks were drilled but not reamed if they were automatics. Redfastback, thanks for posting that u/s bushing number. I used that one in a 383 a few years back. There was an artice in one of the Mopar mags several years ago with that number.
