Has anyone ran the Xe284h cam in a 360 or a cam close to that? its a .507/.510 240/246
 
I like the Comp Cams XE275XL.

Cool Thanks for the in put I just recently got a 360 and I had that cam in mind. Sounds like a good way to go.
 
That's the cam that is going in my build. The short block will be ready in the next month or so. Thanks for the vid Skep419
 
So when does the cam operate best at? ANd on the Springs that are recommended to run with the cam will they work with the 360 heads?

Thanks for the links.. I seen where you can but the whole package Cam,lifters,valve springs,Valve locks,valve retainers,Double rollor timing chain,lube, for 459.95 I believe or I can buy the cam,lifters,lube for 211.95 which one would you buy..
 
I have the 280H in my 360 with 2600 convertor and 3.91 gears. Pulls strong and great for the street.

I'm sure the XE285 would be great also and provide alittle more upper end power.
 
I have the XE295HL, and it sounds like that XE284 has a rougher idle. I guess strokers really do tame them down some.

I wonder was mufflers skep419 has. Also does he and you have turn downs for exhaust or all the way to the back?

I have Dynomax mufflers and the exhaust dumps straight out in front of the rear end. I also have an X pipe that probably tones it down some too.
 
thrush (40 series knock offs) H pipe and dumped infront of rearend.
