Dang! Another freaking kidney stone

Kidney stones are very common here in Va.. Seems like half the people I know have had an episode or two of them. They can usually be controlled by diet. Unfortunately if the water where you live is "hard" (like it is here) they`re difficult to avoid for those that are genetically predisposed. I have a friend who just had lithotripsy for reoccuring stones. Fortunate for her they caught it early as she once had an enormous "staghorn" stone that filled her entire kidney and had to be surgically removed. I feel your pain as I have passed one about ten years ago, (don`t want to relive that moment) but since have lived without another episode. Watch your diet and adhere to it and you should be good to go. Get well soon! :D

We do have very hard water here so I don't drink it. Haven't for over 4 yrs. since I had the first stone back then. Something has drastically changed because I'm eating exactly the same as I have for yrs. and only had the one stone 4 yrs. ago and they tested it and said it was because of a medicine I was taking and changed that med and I haven't had one since then until this episode. Went to the doc. today and he confirmed it is another. That makes 3 in just 2 months so he's sending me to a specialist tomorrow to see if he can tell what's happening. He said it could be my blood sugar is just too high. It was 284 today so he gave me some med for it. Once we know for sure what's causing it we can figure out a diet. Thanks for your thoughts.
