Way cool Rusty. Fine looking horses you got there. Looks like you got a real nice place to ride.

Looking good ther D Dodge. Thanks for sharing.

Well.........errrrr???? I don't know. LOL Have not feed them in over 9 months. Got to love having pastures. Been raining a lot so there is lots for them to eat. I work for my dad at his feed store. Hay is going up in price. We are at 12$ a bale right now and the next load is going to be more. 170 a ton!

But think it is about 100-150 bucks a month per horse. For feed and shoeing and all that.

I pay 120ish in feed and hay for my horse per month. Our thorough bred has equine sarcoids and we've dropped $2K in vet bills so far, still don't know if they'll go away or not.

Burnt, that's good you have a pasture big enough that they can solely feed of off.. That's great for the horses! Sorta like breast feeding!

wow i grew up with horses my aunt still doing that deal out her where i live i remeber it being about 5 bucks a day to keep horses now me and a friend got 6 cows and its being very cost ineffective rolls of hay costing 55 bucks and they are going through that in 5 to 6 days aint no grass growing right now so got to do what you got to do plus grain but seeing that post brought back memorires when my folks had horses and i remember we always had boarders it sure aint cost worthy anymore but heck i got 4 dogs and they dont do anything but give me companionship lol bye the way my aunt deals in horses mostly paints here in north fla if anyone needs another mouth to feed lol

Sorry to here that. They do get to be part of the family and loosing one is very hard. Would love to see some pics of them.

hay burner is right! My cows make me money, not spend it!

that's good, lessons? breeding? I always viewed them as more of a pet.

Feed store. Ya I have three and there just pets. They are just big *** dogs to me. LOL I have to say I know some people who spend more on there dogs then I do on my horses.

Guilty here. Have three "lawn ornaments" but the wife and kid love 'em...I just shovel crap alot!
