I have everything forward from the firewall off of my '75 Duster, and i don't imagine I'll ever want it back on. I'm wondering if the under hood AC stuff is worth selling? Nothing is broken or bent, definitely 'used' but could probably clean up nice. If its worth selling any idea what a good asking price might be?

i wanted to buy a setup from an a/c car but i gave up on that idea pretty quick. people seem to think they are worth gold. im not sure if they actually sell for good money or what.

I don't see what the big deal is, unless your restoring a car to be heavily judged, then just go for a vintage air system.
That being said if you want to get rid of it why not sell it? I mean otherwise you just throw it away so why not sell it a make a couple of bucks off it. I don't agree will pricing the thing in the atmosphere for something your not going to use. But that's just me, so I'd sell it

I'm sure someone would want it if you were to sell it. My 75 duster, s/6 has the factory a/c and it works great !!! Its been converted to the 134A coolant though

I would like to find an old York AC pump with brackets for a slant six so I can use it to run the airbags in the 48.

I wouldn't mind having all the light stuff like the brackets bolts and spacers.

The hoses and brackets and lines are different for slant-6 vs. V8. The factory system is far superior in several critical respects compared to the setup Vintage Air offers for the A-bodies. And it shouldn't be too hard to scare up a York bracketry setup for a slant-6 (even easier to scare up a bracketry setup for a Chrysler V2 compressor, but I'm guessing you object to the weight). The common aftermarket Sanden/Seltec compressor mount is poorly thought out, but Charrlie_S makes a very good one. Not a very good choice for use as an air compressor, tho; it relies on the refrigerant to carry the oil. The York and the V2 have oil sumps and pumps.

Coming from the Jeep world here. I have had good luck with Sanden compressors for use as OBA. You have to periodically squirt duralube or some similar super lube through the system, like once a month or so. Run the compressor and give a good long squirt (30 seconds or so). I've had a Sanden OBA system running on my CJ for a couple years like this and the compressor stilll runs great.

I just put my evap box and controls out by the trashcans. It vanished when I came home from work. <shrug>. Same thing happened with the seats. They only lasted 3 hours!

I always thought any parts that have freon running through them aren't worth much used because you have to cap off all of the openings to prevent contamination. If you don't know who you're buying them from you have no idea if they were always covered.
