I have a 1971 340 Demon that I may be interested in trading for something high impact colored, especially sublime or sassy grass.

The car was originally brown, but someone did an amazing job of changing its color to B7 blue. It has its original engine, but the original 727 is long gone. The car has buckets and no console, and it in pretty darn nice shape. It runs well, is fun to drive, and has won several awards at Mopar and non-Mopar shows. I've just always wanted something sublime, so I thought I'd test the waters and see what's out there.

You can check out more pictures here: http://www.damnimcool.com/cars/demon/

The car currently has 15" Rallye wheels, and has been converted to big bolt pattern. The steering wheel has been changed back to the stock blue wheel, and is not the one in the pictures.

Let me know if you have any questions, or have a trade or an offer. The car is located in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. PM me here.

Thanks.

How much if you could sell it? Is the motor stock or does it have any work done to it? Not a big Sport fan but I really like the color and the interior. Nice Ride!!!!

It does have a sure grip. I'm not exactly sure of the ratio. I think it's 3.23:1, though. As far as I know, the engine is stock internally. It has the correct casting number heads and intake. Scott Smith (Smith-Harms) looked the car over, and said it was remarkably stock. Obviously, it's missing the stock valve covers, the carb is a later Thermoquad, and the air cleaner top is a chrome one off of a Little Red Express. All of this was done before I got the car.

I acquired this car late this summer in trade for my 67 convertible Dart. Both cars were valued at about $18,000, so it would need to be somewhere in that ballpark.

I've had several emails asking me about selling or trading the car. My asking price is $18,000, and am willing to consider offers. As far as trades go, I am mostly interested in 67-69 Barracudas and 72-74 Challengers, but I never know what might catch my fancy. Make an offer, car, money or a combo. Who knows?

Thanks.

Car looks nice.

Couple of questions:

Why was the rallye dash changed out to a 1970 thumbwheel radio dash?

What records are available about the drivetrain -if they were rebuilt, and if yes, what work was done and what was replaced.

Do you have the factory fan shroud?

I think the color change helps the car...

I don't really know too much about the history of the car. I believe that the color change happened in 1986. I would imagine that a whole 70 blue dash was swapped out of another car to help with the color change, but I don't really know. It is a very early 71 model, so I also thought that maybe they hadn't changed over to the 71 style dash yet. I have no idea.

I was told when I got the car that the engine is original and basically stock except the carb and valve covers. It has a Thermoquad, just not the correct numbers carb. I have one, but it needs rebuilt. The transmission is not the original 727.

I do not have the fan shroud. Currently the car has an electric fan.

This car was converted to big bolt pattern at some time in the past, and has 15x6 and 15x7 Rallyes on it now.

I'm sorry I don't have better answers. I have only had the car for a few months. I do have the ability to contact the previous owner, so I may be able to come up with more answers. The car came out of Seattle. I'm sure some of you guys over there recognize it.

Wow. I actually traded a 67 Dart convertible for this Demon.

You have about a million cars. Anything in green?

It's definitely a nice looking car. We live so far apart. How would we handle the trade-off? I still want the blower car. The 60179 heads are new in the box.

It looks like Mitchell, South Dakota is about half way. It's possible, this spring, I guess. Not the right time of year for road trips. Stupid winter.

My wife also does not really like 'verts. She doesn't like her hair in her teeth or something like that. That's one of the reasons I traded off my 67 as well.

It is tempting. What engine does it have?
