Attention all Members: Stop Name Calling and Bickering
Gotta be able to take what you dish out and have sense of humor to go with it.
To many people looking for an excuse to get offended.
I made a comment to a member once about a car he posted pictures of from his neighborhood, and I said it looked like the car had the "hispaniard package" and it seemed to ruin his friggin life, took it all out of context and dragged his Granddaughter into it, accused me of being a racist......HOLY CRAP!
The thread got locked before I could explain that I meant no harm as it's just my personality, I have Hispanic neighbors that actually came up with the term "Hispaniard package" for those types of vehicles.
I was just having fun, and even explained in a PM to the original poster that I apologize and meant no harm,...I never got a reply back and he seems to still be holding a grudge about it.
I've always been nice to that guy and complimented his car build and never had an issue whatsoever until that day, but that one comment seemed to have ruined his life and he used it as an excuse to not visit here as much.
I think that person needs to get over it, put the ego aside and learn how to accept an apology.
Spaz, you miss the whole point. Though you didn't mean to insult, you did. And you cut deeply and badly. At that point, theres no reason to forgive you in anyway shape or form from his point of veiw.
Your comment was thoughtless and hurtful and I was also offended by it.
I do not think it funny in any way shape or form. It was a race insult.
His ego need not be put aside, it never entered the picture.
You lack of being cool or understanding anothers plight gives way to hurting others in ways you do not understand or realize how badly you hurt them and only deepin the cut with "He needs to get over it and hs ego comment.
If you even thought for a second, about how someone else may feel about what you said, you would have never said it.
You NEED to think about what you write before you write it and put the shoe on the other foot. Your skin may be thick, but others do not need to get a thicker skin, YOU need to understand, your understanding of issues like this are numb to your touch and completely worth going to jail for in some parts of the country.
If you can not understand this, perhaps you need to keep your posting extremely simple to answering tech questions and giving out thumbs up posts. Nothing else.
