who here has build there own cal trac type bars???
I've built them and they work better than the SS springs in almost every case. There is a reason when you walk the Stock Eliminator pits at an event and see cal track or some variant under almost every mopar and not SS springs.
If you thread the tube, it's less money than the weld in bungs IF you have the tap to do it.
The most expensive part of the kit is the heim ends, usually anywhere from $8-20 each. There are some E-bay sellers that do them in a kit deal. Pretty well priced.
I used CM tube for the force bar and weld in bungs.
Getting an alum spring eye bushing and through bushing is another area. If you have a lathe, you're good.
