Just seeing what any one has run for 1/4 mile times with their stock 383 cars. I I see in some old articles that the biggest complaint was lack of traction,resrictive exh. manifolds and it was nose heavy.Times listed were in the 14.0 to mid 14's range.
With that being said I'm rebuilding it a little better then stock(.30 over,slightly better compression, and a better flowing exhaust).Carb,intake,heads & exh. manifolds will stay stock. I think most were delivered with 3:23 gears too. I will be running 3:55's. I'm in the process of collecting some parts to build one and just curious as to what I should expect it will run.
